Magento says "Save me from Brute"

Brute Force of Magento - Do you need security?

Due to the popularity of Magento as an e-commerce platform more and more companies are approaching Magento. Along with popularity higher risk come to it. So many many hackers and newbies are trying to attack an E-Commerce website. Attacking on websites are not a new thing but preventing it from attackers is something called 'Great'. Whatsoever let's talk about how to prevent attackers from Brute Force your store.

Method 1: Secure Admin area.

On daily the basis many transactions are taking place on any Magento hosted E-commerce website. To prevent it simply always avoid using un-secure connection while login to admin panel. It might still sensitive and valuable data of transactions.

Go to Stores->Configuration->General->Web->Base Urls (Secure)

Method 2: Use Cpanel.

Why Cpanel? Lots of readers ask me this, let me clear over here.
  1. It is secure.
  2. It is DDos prevented.
  3. It has a backup system for the whole website and also monthly or daily backup.

Method 3: Avoid using "admin" in the username of admin panel login.

Tons of websites use admin as an initial username of admin panel which is not so good for any website. It is easy to guess and not reliable.

Method 4: Always Always Always use Strong Password.

One of the best ways to avoid an attack makes sure your password is strong enough.

There are plenty of Password generator tools available on the web.

According to us what is the strong password?

  1. It should be  8 to 10 characters long.
  2. It must contain upper case and lower case both characters.
  3. Try to add the symbols or symbol.
